Leavenworth offers activities in and around town throughout the year.  The downtown core has become more pedestrian friendly with the streets closed to traffic.  Restaurants have set up outdoor dining options in the street and shops are welcoming visitors.

Winter Karneval

Leavenworth’s Winter Karneval honors a German tradition dating back to the thirteenth century, commonly referred to as ‘Fasching’. Expect to see a blend of familiar activities, like ice carving and fireworks, along with new entertainment that will be spread throughout January, making Leavenworth the perfect winter destination all month long.  Visit

Traditional Maifest has been happening in Leavenworth since 1971! Enjoy the entertainment of Maipole dancing, Bavarian music, the annual Festzug (or Grand March) where town folk dress in their Bavarian best to welcome you to town. Visit
